Joey did not have any prior experience selling semiconductors, yet – just months after he was hired – he has hit the ground running.

What is your personal philosophy about your job?

I think it’s pretty simple: Come in and do everything you can that day to give our customers better service. Try to make more calls than you did the day before. Try to beat the sales number you hit the month before. Constantly set a new goal for yourself and, eventually, the success will come.

What does it take to succeed at Smith?

My team and the Smith family as a whole make being successful easy. As long as you come in day in and day out and put in the work, the business will come. I am fortunate to have found some early success, and I completely attribute that to the training, motivation, and mentoring I’ve received here.

What do you look forward to every day at work?

The absolute best part about Smith is the team I’m surrounded by. Everyone brings something special to the table, and I’m able to learn a lot from them.

What tech advancement has changed your life?

I think cellphones are the obvious answer here. I’m able to be out of the office but still work through email and calls. And, not only that, but any amount of information I want is at my fingertips.
