There is no doubt that the significant demand for smart wireless devices has changed the focus of the electronics sector not just for users, both consumer and enterprise, but especially for manufacturers and OEMs.

Good Things Come in Small Packages: iPad Mini and Surface Tablet go head-to-head this week

Today was Apple's event (or read the live blog from WSJ) at which many updates for software and devices were announced alongside of new sizes for three of the devices:  MacBook Pro 13", Mac Mini, iMac, and iPad Mini. All of these devices feature various new technologies and software-hardware interface designs from Apple to deliver the seamless experiences that Apple fans love to love. There will be much written about these exciting new devices and particularly Apple's Fusion Drive which is a seamless and self-learning SSD-HDD hybrid that incorporates software management for assigning applications to either the SSD or HDD depending on individual's use-cases.

Let the Holidays Begin: Tablet wars heat up in advance of 4Q12 holidays

shutterstock_75349840October seems to be living up to the US's Halloween slogan, "Trick or Treat!" This month, consumers are being quite nicely treated to the unveiling and releases of many tablet PCs, which, as we know, are among the hottest selling devices after smartphones.

Priming the Demand Pump? CE events and semi hopes for 4Q12
