Smith & Associates Appoints New Director of Business Development

Houston, Texas - Smith & Associates, a leading Independent Distributor of electronic components, announces the appointment of David Middleman to Director of Business Development.

Mr. Middleman, an attorney, will focus on issues regarding Smith's excess inventory and consignment program, partnership opportunities, future expansion and business development for Smith & Associates worldwide. In his new position, Middleman will work closely with Mark Bollinger, Director of Business Development, and Smith & Associates founders Bob and Lee Ackerley.

Middleman is a native of Houston, where he founded and served as Managing Partner of the law firm Middleman & Levin, LLC. At his law firm, Middleman had the opportunity to see the business side of running a corporation, including business strategies, partnership opportunities and settlement negotiations. Middleman received his B.S. from the University of Houston and his J.D. from Oklahoma City University.
