Smith & Associates Appoints Ken Neusaenger as Director of Training
Neusaenger brings years of experience to dramatically expanding Smith’s training programs
HOUSTON - (June 25, 2012) - Smith & Associates, the industry leader in global electronics distribution, today announced the appointment of Ken Neusaenger to the role of Director of Training. Neusaenger will be responsible for spearheading the expansion of Smith’s training and development programs to facilitate the next level of the company’s growth.
Neusaenger is a new return to Smith’s global team. He began his career with Smith after his 1994 graduation from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Business Management. During his years with Smith, Neusaenger served in a variety of roles, including sales representative, training manager, Vice President of Sales, and Director of IT. This rounded cross-departmental experience gave him a deep awareness of the needs of employees in any field or level of the company.
In 2000, Neusaenger transitioned to a new role leading ZettaWorks, an IT-consulting start-up begun by Smith’s co-founders and directors, Robert Ackerley and Leland Ackerley. Under Neusaenger’s leadership as CEO, ZettaWorks reached $16 million in annual revenues before being sold to Perficient (NASDAQ: PRFT) in late 2004. Between 2006 and 2012, Neusaenger worked in a variety of public education programs, gaining a keen awareness of diverse learning and communication styles.
“During his career, Ken has honed his skills for training and enriching employees in a variety of environments and positions,” said Matt Hartzell, Smith’s Chief Operating Officer. “From learning the technology resources at hand to finding new business, he will help empower new traders to master all facets of the sales and purchasing processes.”
“I am looking forward to being a part of this next phase of Smith’s growth,” said Neusaenger. “My goal is to improve the training experience so that new traders transition from green to successful swiftly, taking their places as talented and valuable members of the global Smith team. With Smith growing rapidly in size, capabilities, identity, and the markets we reach, building the talent level of new employees will ensure that we have a team that can skillfully support this growth.”
