It’s day two of the ERAI Executive Conference, where hundreds of electronics industry professionals have gathered to discuss the newest anticounterfeit regulations, testing methods, and mitigation strategies. It has been an excellent conference, and industry leaders from around the world are working to make our industry better and more efficient.
In order to better serve our customers, Smith is pursuing ISO 17025 certification, and today I attended a session outlining its benefits and specifications. Here’s what ISO 17025 is all about:
ISO 17025 is used by testing labs to put a quality system in place dedicated to constantly improving testing methods and to consistently produce valid results. This accreditation, in its simplest terms, is the formal recognition of the demonstration of that technical and procedural competence.
Smith is home to some of the most advanced counterfeit detection and testing facilities in the world, and has more than 60 IDEA certified inspectors. We believe in constantly improving by investing in our people, equipment, and procedures.
