Smith & Associates at CES in Las Vegas

PrintE-mail

The International Consumer Electronics Show kicks off tomorrow in Las Vegas. CES serves as the premier platform for new product announcements and a look at what's ahead for the electronics industry. With an eye to the electronics manufacturers' supply chain, I'll be there again this year blogging the latest announcements, insights and photos.

Even though the show hasn't officially begun, the major players are already making some big waves. AMD and Intel have announced single chip solutions with both the central processor and graphics processor on one die. This eliminates some of the need for a chipset to support the CPU and may allow better graphics through faster performance.

Check back often, there's plenty more to come as the week unfolds.
